Sshhh, I’m trying to edit #AtoZchallenge

Here I am, a writer who’s unpublished, and never will be if I don’t finish my editing.  I’ve finally worked out how but I’m struggling to make the time and get the right ‘head space’.

Sunday,  perfect timing, and yet, it’s only a week till AtoZchallenge starts.  26 posts in a month that I want to pre-post so I can go on holiday.  26 posts that I only agreed to do because they were research for my novels.  You know, those 3 draft novels that I’m trying to find time to research and edit, because all I really want to do is draft the next one, or two.

I can hear you, wanting me to write about earth hour last night, wanting me to write about the weather as only us Brits can..  yes this time last year we were less than 2 weeks away from a hosepipe ban right before the wettest summer, like, forever.  Sshhh, I’m trying to edit.

What’s that?  Oh it’s you, the snow’s covered your water and you’d like the fast food station to open now.  No, I wasn’t doing anything important, just trying to edit.

In case you’re interested, here’s the AtoZchallenge titles that I may or may not get around to writing.  Even this list is still in draft form so don’t get too excited or bored by any of them, yet.

  1. Hi Lynne. Nice post – like the fact that you’ve outlined what your posts will be. I only signed up at the weekend and have ideas for all but a a few letters. I’ve drafted only one of my longer posts and think I’m going to end up doing most of them during April (gulp!). Look forward to reading your posts and have a great April!

    • Thanks! And here I was wondering if it’s worth it.. also thinking of completely redoing the whole thing.. hmm.. I do this everytime I do a new project.. you’d think I might have learnt by now.. Can’t guarantee that there will be anything here to read or what it will be if it is.. tee hee.. You know me well enough by now that there will be something regardless of how tenuous it is to my AtoZ theme.. see you later..xx

  2. Ok I’m impressed you planned in advance. I just started writing my AtoZ a few days before April 1. How many of these topics changed along the way? I am doing yellow for Y also! Unless I change it between now Monday…

    • About 12 changed, which is nearly half! But I felt better that I at least thought I knew what I was going to write about. If I’ve not got a rough outline of the month I’d really struggle. This year I’ve done it a week at a time. Many people have the lot planned written and pre-scheduled before the end of March.
