Imagine, Intellectual Property #AtoZchallenge

Intellectual I’m not but I guess I must have an intellect, whatever that is..  I have a favour to ask.  Please respect my Intellectual Property.  I did a course on this recently and it reminded me that not everyone is as honest as I try to be.
I’ve chosen to be open and write about my writing because I want to spur myself to finishing the novels and completing something that others might want to read.  My original reason for writing was to put more creative things into my life.  That seems to be taken over with an urge to put them out there, since they have a life and need to be allowed to flourish or at least have a go in life.

Imagine my brain

Anthropomorphising my novels was not something I ever dreamed I’d do yet I have, the characters are real to me.  Who knows, they may even exist, there might be someone you can relate to.  I didn’t base any of them on anyone but there will be bits of who I am and who I know that help mould who they are.  There must be because my knowledge of humanity is from my experience.

My AtoZchallenge posts are about writing, parts of my novels or some research I need to do for them. I’m not allowing myself to write about anything other than topics linked to the books, my books. The current titles that I’m writing about are ‘Bags’, ‘Holiday stories’ and ‘Dream Gardener’.

    • I’ll pop by and take a look. Great minds and all that? Sometimes more than one person will have the exact same idea at the same time and I respect that. I guess what I’m talking about here is reading a storyline then taking it for your own when it isn’t. I’m being open to spurt me on not so someone else writes them before I do.. Not that they’re anything special.. ooh hark me!

  1. The Internet has many amazing benefits – protecting IP doesn’t seem to be one of them! I think there is always a difficult balancing act between enjoying the open and free aspects of the net and protecting your work. I’d be interested to read Rebecca’s post too.

    • IP’s high on my list of things to think about, which is why it found it’s way here. I’ll try to keep the rest a little lighter.. ooh.. that could be my L? No, Location, location, lights! for that!
