With spring in the air I’ve got some energy back and I feel oxygenated. Plants convert Carbon dioxide to oxygen through photosynthesis. My garden’s become green again and it must be giving me more oxygen. I’ve not blogged much about my environmental viewpoints and this won’t be any different. Not sure what the show don’t tell will be but I can imagine the illustration being of an underwater image with fish and plants and oxygen bubbles maybe..
We’re over half way and I’ve decided to keep this short to give you time to breathe and visit a few more blogs.
Show don’t tell.
The pond was oxygenated.

After playfully throwing her in the pond he wandered in, picked her up and was now carrying her out with the water plants hanging from her curls, glad the pond wasn’t stagnant.
Lynne’s AtoZ blogging challenge theme in case you couldn’t tell:
Linked to thoughts of emotions and behaviours, my theme is ‘I feel….’. Writers among you will be familiar with the phrase show don’t tell, for others it’s what every novelist tries to do. Authors want to show you the emotion and behaviour without telling you it. Trying to practice showing not telling, I have included an example in each post. I may have got it right, I may not have. Please let me know.
Here’s who else is doing the AtoZblogging challenge.
nice little show not tell there 🙂

Thanks Cecilia, I must admit, reading it now, I’ve had a completely different idea, but hey ho, that’s writing.
I’m still waiting for spring to arrive. =(

Really, that’s a shame. I’m lamenting over the cherry blossom falling and tulips going over.
I love it when the world turns green again. My favourite colour.
Me too. Green’s not my favourite colour unless it’s on nature and surrounding me.
Does spring absolutely have to come? Time to stock up on the Claratin.
Yin and yang I guess. Or something like that.
Wish these replies allowed for adding a photo of my Spring NC garden making its new appearance. I know what you mean about feeling better all ready. I know you have the interest, but the time???? I’m writing about gardening and related topics this month. Aren’t we having a great time!
Love the AtoZ. Could do with the hours I’m blogging spent in my garden though!
Oxygenated. I like that word for springtime’s fresh air! Good bubbles in the pic 🙂
Thanks. Not sure when this word came to me. I’ve struggled to breathe for most of this year so far. This past week the oxygen I’ve been able to get into my lungs has made such a difference!
I’m sorry to hear you’ve been suffering. Hope it will be easier going forward.
Another good post, and may I say another good little pic’ too. The ‘show, don’t tell’ is very good for this one.
Thanks Tom.
Only two sketches to do and three posts to finish.. Phew, nearly there.. Then we’ll all miss each other..
I have to say, that illustration is adorable, and becomes even cuter after reading your itty bitty story. 🙂

My theme should have been ‘itty bitty stories with cute illustrations’. You’re writing my tag line!
