Positively persistent in persevering #atozchallenge

Persistent was on my mind but it wasn’t quite the right word.

abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz

Abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz

Abcdefgjokl;,mp[qrstivwxu

Abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxy\z

abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz

While writing this I decided to remind myself if I could still touch type. I type fast but often look at either what I write or the keyboard. Doing the a-z I only looked at what I typed first then closed my eyes and did it again. Initially when I closed my eyes I made some mistakes. Because I doubted myself but with perseverance I managed to confidently type abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz with my eyes closed.  If you persevere you can do anything. It’s not always easy and you may need to sacrifice something.

If you’re reading this from your own AtoZ blog you know all about perseverance and you have it in bucket loads. If you’re a fellow writer, which of your characters are persevering at the moment?

In my life I’ve persevered at many things and mastered them to a degree and yet there are still others I could do with putting more effort in. Relationships mainly that I’ve given up on or even persevered too much when I should have backed off. Persevering with p, I’ve decided this post is positively persistent.

I will continue to feel positively persistent with my work, my writing, painting and friendships. I cannot, at this moment in time, promise that I will persevere in love relationships.. I feel that the universe might have given up on me in that part of my life..

Show don’t tell.

Lynne persevered in editing her novels.

After writing for years, here she was signing her latest novel with the queue heading out of the door.

Keeping the dream alive.

Lynne’s AtoZ blogging challenge theme in case you couldn’t tell:

Linked to thoughts of emotions and behaviours, my theme is ‘I feel….’. Writers among you will be familiar with the phrase show don’t tell, for others it’s what every novelist tries to do. Authors want to show you the emotion and behaviour without telling you it. Trying to practice showing not telling, I have included an example in each post. I may have got it right, I may not have. Please let me know.

Here’s who else is doing the AtoZblogging challenge.
