Effortless effort Eightieth #AtoZchallenge

I started blogging January 2011 and did AtoZ for the first time that April. The first year I didn’t draw many of the images, the second year I sketched all of the images as  A5. Last year I decided to sketch larger on A3 and created 26 new sketches just for AtoZ. That helped me become used to sketching regularly. I call this effortless effort. If there’s something you want to do just give it a go and remember you’re learning so ease yourself into this new skill. It takes effort to keep going and before you know it whatever skill you’ve been practicing will seem effortless to others.

On 28 August 2014 I drew my first sketch from a bench and I’m now close to having done a hundred. For now here’s the eightieth view from a bench in Peterborough that I’ve sketched.  It was pretty cold and I got a bit fed up with the trees, as you can probably tell but I loved it when yet another pigeon decided to fly straight at me and I managed to capture it mid flight. This is a part of Peterborough where there’s numerous benches which I’m sure have times when they’re all used but rarely when I’m there.

My AtoZ Blogging Challenge is all about sketches I’ve done this past year and some benches I’ve met along the way. Most but not all of the sketches were done from benches during my walk to work and around town where I shop.
