Mushrooms #AtoZchallenge

When I was looking for my F why didn’t you remind me it could have been fungi?

I’ve drawn three chestnut mushrooms and I’m sure the man sat opposite me on the train was wondering what I was doing the day I took out three mushrooms, a packet of hot chillies, some onions, ooh spoiler, and other fruit and veg then quickly sketched them.

It’s rare I don’t have mushrooms in the house. I can eat them forever. Stuffed, sliced, whole, in soup, in gravy, on toast, with a baked potato, mushroom risotto, in a sandwich or croissant. I could go on. I seem to be listing the food and eating variety but if this had been on F and I’d called them fungi I might have wanted to sketch a waxcap, ooh that could be my W though I’ve already chosen it. An AtoZ about fungi. I fancy doing that one year.

Mushrooms

My AtoZ Blogging Challenge is all about err, I had every post topic then I changed my mind. This year I have no official theme, however, I do seem to be sketching vegetables quickly.. This is where you tell me mushrooms aren’t vegetables, I know that but my theme isn’t really a theme remember and I do love a bit of debate and randomness. They’re not even plants, they don’t have leaves, roots or seeds and don’t need light to grow. They’re fungi, I love having them in my diet and drawing them for you.

Even if you’ve not enjoyed reading this post why not see what others are doing too during 2016 AtoZ Blogging challenge. I look forward to seeing you back here tomorrow though I have little idea of what it will say..
