K’s linked to Peterborough Cathedral: Katharine of Aragon; King; Kirkton; Knights Chamber and Kings bedroom.
One of the rooms at the Cathedral is the knights chamber, often used for events and hired out. This illustration was drawn during an event held in the Knights chamber with re-enactors bringing history to life for visitors.
Peterborough, UK, is celebrating 900 years of the current Peterborough Cathedral building which is my 2018 A-Z theme. Rather than give you lots of information which you can get from the website, books or by visiting and having a wonderful guided tour I’ve provided a list of topics and an illustration of one of them.

I am really enjoying this series. I wish I had the talent to draw in this way.
Thanks Phil,
Get a pad, pencil, some watercolours and permanent pens, sit on a different bench every day sketching what goes by till you’ve sat on every bench in your local area (201 in my case) and who knows what you might achieve. That’s how I got comfortable drawing this way. It helps that I got over drawing in public quite early on and that I don’t mind what people think when they look at an unfinished one, because I know how they’ll look when finished.
Glad you like them, I think I’ve got a few more to create before we get to the end..
Thanks Lynne, I will give it a go. I have passed this point with my writing and blog almost everyday just for the pleasure of feeling the words flow from me. I love it that you have counted the local benches.
I was looking for a knight in shining armor to be among the re-enactors.

If there had been one and he’d popped in while I had pencil in hand I’m sure I’d have included him.
It looks like it would be a fun place to hold an event. Weekends In Maine
It’s a wonderful room with great character. I had dinner with Henry VIII and Katharine of Aragon in there during Katherine’s festival earlier in the year and really enjoyed it.
