E’s linked to Peterborough Cathedral: Easter; East; Effigies; Energy; Ethelwold; Edith Cavell; East; Eagle and Ethelfreda.
During the Heritage festival and at other times you can meet characters from the Cathedral History. I sketched Edith who’s story is remembered here since she was a pupil teacher within the grounds. Bizarrely Katharine of Aragon and her maid and a parachuting monk teddy bear were also in the picture that day. Such is the daily life of this amazing place.
Peterborough, UK, is celebrating 900 years of the current Peterborough Cathedral building which is my 2018 A-Z theme. Rather than give you lots of information which you can get from the website, books or by visiting and having a wonderful guided tour I’ve provided a list of topics and an illustration of one of them.

Still trying to work out the parachuting monk teddy bear!!
hilarious! He’s fallen onto the chair next to one of the Ediths and the little girl he belongs to was collecting him. x
The painting looks like it should illustrate a story. And that parachuting monk teddy bear should be in it.
thanks Kristin, I illustrate what happens in front of me and there’s always a story or two in that.
