I wasn’t sure about whether I should draw them whole, make an omelette or scrambled or something. Maybe fried, but I thought I’d rather eat them if they were cooked first so I’ll sketch then cook them.
Realising how old my one egg is I won’t be having eggs for breakfast today. Must remember to get some fresh ones.
I know they’re not vegetables and I’d sort of turned this AtoZ into a sketching veg theme. I guess it’s turning into more of a sketching anything in my house theme with the occasional item from the cathedral.. People seem to come to see what I’ve drawn rather than what I’ve said so I’ll shut up and let you eggsplore this eggstravaganza.. of an egstraordinary eggsample of an egg box 😉 as you do.

The pic’s a bit muted as it’s not light enough outside to take it in sunlight and my flash doesn’t work on my camera..I’m not about to head out in my towel to find the lightest place to take the pic as that would not be a pretty sight for the early commuters past my house. The trials of creating on the day of posting. Regardless I’m completely loving this years AtoZ. Not having anything prescheduled gives it a more creative flair for me. Hope you’re having a great AtoZ too whether you’re doing it or just enjoying the eggsplosion of blogs around this month.
Any suggestions for what I should sketch for F, I, J or K? I’ve got G, L, M, N, O and P(if I can find the fruit) covered.. There will be a few at the end which I’m going to need help with too.
You tried the sketching practice I’m using yet? (see B for the instructions)
My AtoZ Blogging Challenge is all about err, I had every post topic then I changed my mind, It was going to be about Peterborough Cathedral since that’s my current obsession. This year I have no theme..
Even if you’ve not enjoyed reading this post why not see what others are doing too during 2016 AtoZ Blogging challenge. I look forward to seeing you back here tomorrow though I have little idea of what it will say..
The picture comes across well, even with the camera issue. For F, maybe a flower — your absolute favorite, for I maybe an Icon from history Not sure about the rest.
Thanks Sylvia. I’ve done my F but did think about a flower. Icon’s a good idea. Thanks
I LOVE your theme! Such wonderful pictures so far, I’m looking forward to the rest 🙂 J could be for Jelly and K could be a Keyhole perhaps?
@LunaNoctis from There She Goes
Got some Jelly and a fun jelly mould somewhere that would make an interesting sketch, thanks, might give it a go. Love a theme with some latitude. Keyhole conjures up all sorts of things.. There’s a keyhole I can’t open at the moment so that might be a perfect one.. and one I’d never have come up with. Thanks for the encouragement. 🙂
You’re welcome, best of luck with the other letters 🙂
I really like your artistic style and how you paint your pictures. Are they water colors? Forgive me if you’ve mentioned it and I missed it.
Two quick pencil sketches to get my eye in then the final pencil sketch is also done quick, finished with a few swift watercolour brushstrokes, liberal with the water and I use the widest brush so I can’t get tight or fine. I usually finish them with permanent black markers over the pencil lines but haven’t done that yet for this AtoZ as they don’t seem to need it.
Awesome. I have never tried watercolors. I like oils, but tend to paint mostly with acrylics. I may need to give watercolors a shot. Thank you for the details 🙂
Nice sketching 😊 How about figs, grapes, honeydew melon, juniper berries, kale … I’ll check back later to see the rest of your artwork 😊 Good luck with the rest of the challenge 😊
Thanks Kim. which I’d thought of grapes. I took your suggestion of melon and went for watermelon. Thanks for the suggestions.
