Yes may not be a behaviour or a feeling but when I say it hormonal changes occur and pathways in my brain are made which generate happy feelings and behaviours.
Show don’t tell.

Yes denotes positivity, and that certainly helps improve one’s mood. I’m with you. On the show v. tell – good, though, to me, they are different scenes: hers is the reaction (saying yes) to his action (buying the ring.)

The remainder of the scene depends on where he elected to give her the ring and ask the question. Mmmmm. A short story could develop from that simple premise.
